Missouri Farmers Stepping Up to the Plate
The Missouri Corn Merchandising Council is teaming up with Missouri agriculture organizations for a summer education campaign with the St. Louis Cardinals. Throughout the summer, Cardinals left-fielder Matt Holliday will be partnering with Missouri farmers on an advertising campaign featuring radio ads, grocery store promotions and print advertising. MISSOURI CORN GROWERS ASSOCIATION The Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA), established in 1978, is a grassroots organization of farmer-members dedicated to increasing the profitability of corn production by developing and expanding corn markets, collecting and distributing information, building coalitions with organizations and industries, and participating in the governmental process.
MISSOURI CORN MERCHANDISING COUNCIL The Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC) was formed after a referendum was passed to establish a one-half cent per bushel corn checkoff. MCMC is an organization of corn growers dedicated to the profitability of corn production by investing checkoff dollars in the development and expansion of corn market; facilitating communication with growers and customers; and researching new corn utilization opportunities.
