Education

Educating consumers and youth about corn production, corn products, end users and ethanol is vital to the growth of our industry. Through outreach and communication, Missouri Corn is working hard to reach a wide variety of consumers and students.

To help today’s youth gain a better understanding of the role agriculture plays in our everyday lives, Corn in the Classroom educational materials are available to schools, organizations and agricultural promoters. Lesson plans, activity pages, a teacher’s guide and additional reference materials can be found on our Corn in the Classroom page.

To reach youth and consumers outside the classroom, educational materials are also available to corn mazes across the state. Five customized “Did You Know?” messages are displayed on attention-getting, weatherproof stop signs and a “Fun Facts” poster helps maze goers learn more about the corn industry.

Partnering with the Missouri FFA Association, Missouri Corn sponsors the FFA van for state officers to utilize when visiting with students across the state. Missouri Corn also sponsors the state FFA grain proficiency awards and is a proud sponsor of the Missouri 4-H State Congress.

Additionally, Missouri Corn founded and maintains a youth scholarship program for high school seniors and college juniors. To learn more about this program and find out if you are eligible, visit our Scholarships page.
